EPOQUE QUARTET (* 1999)
Multižánrový Epoque Quartet v roce 2019 oslavil 20 let od svého založení. Během této doby si našel pevné místo na české a evropské hudební scéně, výrazně posunul hranice kvartetního repertoáru a vyprofiloval se ve špičkový soubor, který je zván ke spolupráci s celou řadou skvělých hudebníků z různých odvětví muzikantské branže. Z výčtu nejzajímavějších projektů jmenujme turné s Danem Bártou a Ilustratosphere, spolupráci s kapelami Monkey Business, Tatabojs, koncerty a nahrávky s Michalem Pavlíčkem, Gregory Porterem, Lenkou Dusilovou, na poli klasiky s Dagmar Peckovou, Danielem Hopem, Adamem Plachetkou a dalšími. V roce 2020 byla kompilační deska souboru 20 let Epoque Quartet ohodnocena jako nahrávka roku v kategorii crossover v rámci udílení prestižních cen Classic Prague Awards. V ten samý večer obdrželo kvarteto i ocenění Klasika roku za svůj výroční koncert v pražské Lucerně.
EPOQUE QUARTET (* 1999)
The multi-genre Epoque Quartet celebrated 20
years of existence in 2019. During that time it has established a fixed place
on the Czech and European music scenes, greatly expanded the boundaries of the
quartet repertoire and built up a position as a top-class ensemble that is
invited to collaborate with a whole range of great musicians from various fields.
Some of its most notable projects include a tour with Dan Bárta and Illustratsophere,
a collaboration with the bands Monkey Business and Tatabojs and concerts and
recordings with Michal Pavlíček, Gregory Porter and Lenka Dusilová and, in the classical
sphere, with Dagmar Pecková, Daniel Hope, Adam Plachetka and others. In
2020 the compilation 20 let Epoque
Quartet (20 Years of Epoque Quartet) was named recording of
the year in the crossover category in the prestigious Classic Prague Awards.
That same evening the quartet also picked up a Klasika roku (Classical Music of
the Year) award for their anniversary concert at Prague's Lucerna.
