Kukačky
KUKAČKY
Skladba Kukačky vznikla na Pražské konzervatoři pod vlivem mého učitele Milana Svobody. Původně byla napsána pro jazzové kvarteto, flétnu a housle, posléze byla přepracována pro soubor EWaVe (Epoque - Wajsar - Vermelho) a svou cestu prozatím zakončila v současné aranži pro smyčcové kvarteto a klarinet. Variaci na téma Chopinovy etudy, jejíž číslo jsem už zapomněl, jsem si začal pískat v metru na Vyšehradě, a neopustila mě až domů, kde jsem ji urychleně zapsal. Po vyslechnutí nahrávky to vypadá, že zrála právě pro toto obsazení. Uvidíme, zda to pro ni bude konečná zastávka, nebo zda se její cesta bude i nadále vyvíjet.

PETR WAJSAR (* 1978)
Absolvent Pražské konzervatoře (A. Michajlov, M. Svoboda, M. Pavlíček) a HAMU v Praze (V. Riedlbauch), skladatel koncertní i užité hudby. Ve své tvorbě užívá jak prvky soudobé vážné hudby, tak postupy hudby jazzové a populární. Spolupracuje s řadou prestižních orchestrů (Česká filharmonie, SOČR, Filharmonie Bohuslava Martinů, PKF) a divadel (Národní divadlo, Divadlo J. K. Tyla). Za svou hudbu k muzikálu Pornohvězdy byl nominován na Cenu Alfréda Radoka 2008, za hudbu k filmu Hastrman obdržel cenu Český lev 2019. Je uměleckým vedoucím vokální skupiny Skety, pro kterou napsal řadu autorských skladeb a osobitých aranžmá.
CUCKOO CLOCKS
The composition Kukačky was composed at the Prague Conservatory under the influence of my teacher Milan Svoboda. Originally written for jazz quartet, flute and violin, it was later reworked for the ensemble EWaVe (Epoque - Wajsar - Vermelho) and has so far ended its journey in the current arrangement for string quartet and clarinet. I started whistling a variation on the theme of Chopin's etude, the number of which I've nowforgotten, in the metro at Vyšehrad, and it stayed with me all the way home, where I hurriedly wrote it down. After listening to the recording, it seems that it is ripe for this ensemble. We will see if it's the final stop for the melody, or whether its journey will continue.

PETR WAJSAR (* 1978)
Graduate of the Prague Conservatory (A. Michajlov, M. Svoboda, M. Pavlíček) and HAMU in Prague (V. Riedlbauch), and composer of concert and applied music. In his work, he uses elements of contemporary classical music as well as jazz and popular music techniques. He collaborates with a number of prestigious orchestras (Czech Philharmonic, SOČR, Bohuslav MartinůPhilharmonic, PKF) and theatres (National Theatre, J. K. Tyl Theatre). He was nominated for the Alfred Radok Award 2008 for his music for the musical Pornstars, and received the 2019 Czech Lion Award for his music for the film Hastrman. He is the artistic director of the vocal group Skety, for which he has written a number of original compositions and special arrangements.
